A bit about me and the road to realizing a dream…
For as long as I can remember, becoming a tattoo artist has been my ultimate dream. It’s an industry that fascinated me, a world where art and passion meet. Yet, for years, that dream felt just out of reach. The traditional path of an unpaid, multi-year apprenticeship simply wasn’t an option. Life required me to have an income, and the idea of going without for a year or two to learn a new craft seemed impossible. I put my dream on hold, but it never faded. I knew deep down that one day, I’d find my way into the world of tattooing.
An Unexpected Opportunity
Then, the world changed. The COVID-19 pandemic, a difficult time for so many, unexpectedly opened a door for me. Suddenly, I had the time and space I had always needed to pursue my passion. With most studios closed and a new reality setting in, the options for getting a tattoo became limited: either wait indefinitely or take matters into your own hands. For a detail-oriented person like me who loves to “rabbit hole” into a new subject, the choice was clear. The pandemic became my classroom, and I committed myself to a journey of independent learning.
The Journey of a Self-Taught Artist
I dove headfirst into the craft, dedicating countless hours to the fundamentals. I spent months tracing lines, practicing on synthetic skins, and studying the techniques and history of tattooing. Every day was a new lesson, a new challenge. I was fortunate to have a few amazing and patient people who trusted me as I learned to translate my designs from paper to skin. This hands-on experience, combined with relentless self-study, taught me what it truly takes to not only create a beautiful piece of art but also to grow and evolve as an artist.

This journey from an aspiring artist to a professional tattooer has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
